This bespoke KU design is a nod to Kansas’ alma mater, “Crimson and the Blue.” Set to the tune of Cornell University’s alma mater, Professor George Barlow Penny adapted the lyrics to fit the University of Kansas, so his glee club would have a school song to sing on their regional tour in 1891.
